Larry died in 1965 in a tragic auto accident.

The words in the memorial page to Larry in our yearbook are, if anything, more poignant now than they were 50 years ago:

Larry Gliss was tragically killed in an automobile accident on November 7, 1965. It was difficult for us to realize that he had died so young, at seventeen, never to know the completeness of manhood. We are all poorer, sadder, for his death.
If, in remembering Larry, we realize how very precious life is, if now we try to live our lives with purer values and warmer, kinder thoughts for each other, his death will not have been in vain.
Larry was our friend.
We will not forget him.
