FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.     What is planned for reunion?

Our main reunion event will be a dinner on Friday, September 23, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the
Andover Country Club, 60 Canterbury Street, Andover, MA 01810.

For those who will be in town on Thursday evening, there will be a meet-and-greet in the bar of the Doubletree Hotel.  For those who golf, Tom Marjerison (tmarjeri@aol.com) and Jay Weiner
(jayweiner1@gmail.com) are organizing nine holes on Friday.  All attendees are encouraged to grab your pals and get together anytime!

2.     What will the reunion dinner be like?

By popular request, we have arranged a buffet dinner in a lovely, large room where it will be easy to mingle and talk; a cash bar, to help keep the ticket price down for everyone; and recorded music that won’t overpower conversation.  Yes, there will be a dance floor too.

Cocktails will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 8:00 p.m.  The menu will include hot and cold hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, then a buffet dinner of fruit salad, green salad, chicken piccata, London broil, potatoes and rice, medley of vegetables, dinner rolls, assorted mini-pastries, and coffee and tea.

The cash bar will be open throughout the evening.

3.    What is the cost of the reunion dinner?

The cost is $75 per person.

4.    May I bring my spouse, partner, or other guest?

Of course!  The more the merrier!

5.     How do I register for the reunion dinner and get a ticket?

Please go to our class website at www.andover66.com and follow the easy registration process.  You must register no later than August 31.   While you’re on the class website, be sure to update your profile and visit the profiles of classmates.

If you prefer not to go online, please contact Franny (Saber) d’Avi at 321-432-1786, or Ann (Copeland) Booth at 860-491-3500 for information and assistance in registering.

6.     If I made an early deposit to help build up the treasury prior to reunion, what will happen now?

Thank you again for your early deposit!  It will be credited against the cost of your ticket(s) when you register, although the web site will not do it automatically.  Please go to our class website at www.andover66.com and follow the easy registration process.  When you get to checkout,  subtract your deposit from your balance due, and then send a check for the balance, if any, as directed. Questions? Email Chuck Hatch, reunion treasurer, at chatch@maine.rr.com.

7.    What’s the dress code for the reunion dinner?

The suggested attire is business casual.

8.     I have special dietary needs.  What should I do?

We have been careful to choose a menu that should work for those who are vegetarian or vegan, as well as for those who do not eat pork or shellfish.  If you would like a gluten-free entrée – chicken piccata with no gluten in the sauce – please indicate that when you register for reunion.

9.     I’m coming from out-of-town.  Where should I stay?

For those who will be staying overnight, we have reserved blocks of rooms at two locations:

The two hotels are within an easy walk.

10.     Are there any other reunion events planned?

As suggested by classmates who replied to our Reunion Planning Questionnaire, we have left most of the rest of the weekend open so that people can get together informally, spend more time with friends, and check out Andover.

Thursday, September 22:  There will be an informal get-together in the bar of the Doubletree on Thursday evening.  Please join us!

Friday, September 23:  If you are interested in playing nine holes of golf at Indian Ridge Country Club, please contact Tom Marjerison at tmarjeri@aol.com or Jay Weiner at jayweiner1@gmail.com

Saturday, September 24:  Groups of friends are encouraged to arrange their own meet-ups and activities on Saturday.

Our class website, www.andover66.com, will contain a list of possible activities in and around Andover.  Although very different from years ago, Andover is still a beautiful and interesting town.
